An effective way to communicate to members and Committee members about their roles and responsibilities is through the development of a Committee Charter.  A Committee Charter is based on the Constitution. 

The Charter should clearly define the purpose of the Committee, the Committee’s key responsibilities and any limitations.  

The Charter should be adopted by the Committee and reviewed annually. It is published to all club members and ensures the club has a clear expectation of the Committee.
